چکیده

Background: There are no studies examining the use, safety, efficacy, effective fluence and pulse duration of Laser hair reduction in Nigerians. This study aimed to document duration, number sessions achieve permanent reduction. Methods: A retrospective review removal 87 FitzPatrick skin type V VI patients from January 2017 August 2021 using neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:Yag). The (Joules/cm3), (msecs), site interval between were documented. Data was summarized frequencies percentage proportion. Comparison fluence, different body sites tested analysis variance. Results: total 354 laser performed made up 80 females 7 males; mean age 35.8±9.24 years. face most frequently treated (67.5% sessions). sessions, 4.07±4.22, 19.38±1.48 (msec) 18.22±1.29 (J/cm3) respectively. An average 6 required reduction: a significantly lower p=0.043. Conclusions: long Nd:Yag 1064 is an safe for types VI. effective, 16 22 msec 15 20 J/cm2 requires fewer sessions.

Effectiveness of 980-mm diode and 1064-nm extra-long-pulse neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet lasers in implant disinfection.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the potential of 980-nm gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) and 1064-nm neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) lasers to reduce bacteria after irradiation of implant surfaces contaminated with Enterococcus faecalis and Porphyromonas gingivalis and on irradiated implant surface morphology. BACKGROUND Despite the frequency of implant success, some implant loss is ...

Neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) 1064-nm picosecond laser vs. Nd:YAG 1064-nm nanosecond laser in tattoo removal: a randomized controlled single-blind clinical trial.

BACKGROUND For decades, nanosecond lasers (NSLs) have been used to remove tattoos. Since 2012, pulses of picosecond lasers (PSLs) have been available for tattoo removal. Based on a few observational studies, the claim has been made that PSLs are considerably more effective while showing fewer side-effects in comparison with NSLs. OBJECTIVES To compare the efficacy and side-effects of a PSL si...

Effects of Neodymium-Doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet (Nd:YAG) Laser Irradiation on Bone Metabolism During Tooth Movement.

INTRODUCTION The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of low-level neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) laser irradiation on orthodontic tooth movement and histological examination. METHODS Eleven male Wistar rats (aged 10 weeks) were included. To produce experimental tooth movement in rats, 10 g force was applied to maxillary first molars with nickel titanium closed coil...
